Biology Minor Requirements – 16 credit hours
The student must complete a minimum of 16 credit hours of biology electives.
Science & Technology Minor Requirements – 18-19 credit hours
Students will take at least one course from each of the three subject areas in science:
Life Sciences:
BIOL 110 General Biology – 4 credit hours
or BIOL 102 Environmental Awareness – 3 credit hours
Physical Sciences:
CHEM 120 Introductory Chemistry – 4 credit hours
or CHEM 123 General Chemistry I – 4 credit hours
or PHYS 118 Introduction to Physical Science – 4 credit hours
or PHYS 221 University Physics I and Lab – 5 credit hours
Earth and Space Science:
PHYS 145 General Geology – 4 credit hours
or PHYS 119 Earth-Space Science – 4 credit hours
or PHYS 133 Astronomy – 4 credit hours
Students will also choose (6) six hours from Statistics, the Computer Studies Department, or from a related technology-rich application. Only four hours of application courses will count towards the minor. The requirements may be met from any of the following:
- A Statistics course
- Any courses from the Computer Studies Department
- Technology-related courses (with approval from the Computer Studies Department)
