The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Week is a series of events held in late January. Begun by the Department of History in 2012 (building on previous Martin Luther King Day events held at KWU and at University United Methodist Church in 2010 and 2011), its purpose is to remember the life and contributions of Dr. King and to help raise awareness about issues of past and present racial inequality in the U.S.A. For information on previous events, please see applicable links to the right.
