Test Your Interview I.Q. for Success.doc
Career Services offers students opportunities to practice interviewing. Staff is available by appointment to guide you through the interview process and help you sharpen your skills for a professional interview.
Mock interviews will be conducted upon request. In order to participate in a “Mock Interview” students must:
- Visit, call, or email Career Services to set an appointment and bring a ‘Mock’ job posting announcement for the type of position they are targeting (if already applying or have an interview but want practice then bring in the posting or information for that position)
- Pick up an Interviewing Tips and Commonly Asked Questions Packet.
- Provide a current working resume (Don’t have one – Career Services will work with you to develop one).
- Make an appointment to interview with career services staff member.
Mock Interviews will be conducted as if they are the ‘real thing’. Students should prepare and dress as they would for an actual job interview. Interviews are scheduled for one hour with 15-20 minutes for interviewing and the rest of the hour used for feedback and questions.
Mock interviews are also scheduled twice a year with employers from the community on campus to conduct interviews with KWU students. Check the Career Services event page often to see when these events are scheduled, or check with Career Services.
For off-campus, real life practice interviewing, employers are available to set "Mock" interveiw appointments. Contact Career Services for more information on how to schedule your interview.
