Judy Weber, a Salina resident since 1965, received her undergraduate degree (B M Ed) from the former Marymount College and her Master degree from Kansas State University. Her teaching career began at Salina South Jr. High serving as Instrument/String instructor and continued at Kanopolis Middle School, St. Mary’s Elementary School in Salina and Ell-Saline Elementary School before retiring in 2005.
Since retirement, her music career has continued while working at Salina Sacred Heart High School and at Kansas Wesleyan University. She joined the KWU faculty in 2006 and her current duties and responsibilities include staff accompanist and piano instructor. Some professional affiliations have included KMEA, MENC, and AGO.
Her professional career outside of academia includes providing music for weddings, funerals, church services, the Salina Community Theater, Salina Symphony and accompanying students for recitals and contests. As a Ravenna, Nebraska native, an important aspect of her life is being a diehard, flag waving, University of Nebraska football fan. She is also a proud mother of four children and three grandchildren----and two cats.
