Dr. Art Neuburger has been named Professor Emeritus of Kansas Wesleyan University. Dr. Neuburger taught biology at Kansas Wesleyan for 40 years, served as the chair of the biology department for 16 of those years, Faculty Marshal for 12 years, including eight as Head Marshal before retiring in 2011. Dr. Neuberger served the University in many ways, presiding over the faculty for seven years, chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee, and also was key in obtaining a $50,000 grant for the purchase of microscopes and other equipment.

Kathleen Barrett-Jones has been announced as the Interim Associate Provost at Kansas Wesleyan University. Barrett Jones, has been with the University since 1996, and retired from the role of Director of Teacher Education in 2012. She was past Chair of the Curriculum Committee, and was also responsible for establishing the partnership with Heusner Elementary school; helping elementary education students teach more effectively. She was also an integral part of Rec2Reality an organization that partners students with young adults with disabilities.

Jake O’Neill, Residence Director & Intramural Coordinator

Jake O’Neill, a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University has recently been named to the Student Development team as Residence Director and Intramural Coordinator. O’Neill is originally from Salina and graduated from Salina Central High School before getting his Sports Management degree from KWU.
