KWU Liberian Project to Host Raffle

Salina, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan University continues to raise money for the Liberian Project. On Thursday, November 29, KWU students will host a raffle during the men’s and women’s home basketball games. Last year’s successful fundraising effort is saving lives in Liberia. KWU sent nearly $8,000 to the women of Liberia for sewing machines and to Tiyatien Health, a clinic that provides health care for the people of Liberia.

The theme follows the uniquely individual, but entirely universal aspect of “love.” The material ranges from classic Shakespearean pieces to Contemporary theatre melded and arranged with found works, and Ben’s own material. The highly unique show is designed for you to ask yourself, what is love?

KWU Music Department Presents: "I Love a Piano"

Travel a 100 years back and fall into the music of Irving Berlin, as Kansas Wesleyan University presents, “I Love a Piano.” This production is centered around and celebrates Berlin’s music and lyrics. Music performed will include “Blue Skies”, “Always”, “White Christmas”, “God Bless America”, and “I Love a Piano”.
Wesleyan Challenge Participates in Debt Forum

Kansas Wesleyan University and the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum partnered today to present a National Issues Forum to the students in the Wesleyan Challenge. The presentation and workshop was designed to offer students a voice in solving the National Debt Crisis. According to the NIF website, "The National Issues Forums (NIF) is a nonpartisan, nationwide network of forums for the consideration of public policy issues.
KWU Partners with Marine Toy Box

Kansas Wesleyan has partnered with the Marine Toy Box in an effort to help under-privileged area youth and ensure that everyone has a merry Christmas. Last year, the Toy Box program gave toys to over 1,100 children, and the need is growing. On Saturday, November 3, eleven student volunteers, in addition to staff and faculty members, collected contributions for Toy Box at the football and volleyball games. Over $900 was raised, and multiple donations of new toys were collected.
Students Inducted into Alpha Chi Honor Society

On Sunday, October 28, 18 Kansas Wesleyan Students were inducted into Alpha Chi. Alpha Chi is a national honor society and only students in the top ten percent of junior and senior classes are eligible for membership. The following Kansas Wesleyan students were named members:
