Kansas Wesleyan’s speech and debate team excelled at the recent Gorlok Gala, a tournament hosted virtually by Webster University. The tournament is, with the exception of national events, the largest KWU attends each year.
Abby Wray (Wichita, Kan.) was the tournament champion in Parliamentary Debate and an octafinalist in open Individual Debate. Bryce Boyd (Oklahoma City, Okla.) was a semifinalist in Extemporaneous Speaking and a Quarterfinalist in Impromptu Speaking, while Madeline Norrell (Chandler, Okla.) was an octafinalist in novice Individual Debate.
KWU speech and debate will return to action Feb. 12–14 at the Sweetheart Swing, hosted virtually by Cameron University of Lawton, Okla.
