Join us for this special movie event, “The Ellis Trail to Nicodemus,” April 9 at 7 p.m. in Sams Chapel. Admission is free.
Ellis is a story of pregnant newlywed Emma Johnson-Williams’s journey west and the birth of the first baby born in Nicodemus, the first generation born free.
Robert & Billie, a short film, tells the love story of Robert Brogden and Billie Bates. Billie was a descendent of the 1877 migrants and Robert became the first maintenance man for the Nicodemus Historical Site when it became a part of the National Park Service.
