Both U.S. News & World Report and College Choice have recognized Kansas Wesleyan University in their rankings of colleges and universities.
Kansas Wesleyan was rank as one of the best regional liberal arts colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. The U.S News Best College rankings are in their 33rd year and are based on several key measures — graduation and retention rates; assessment of excellence; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; graduation rate performance; and alumni giving.
Kansas Wesleyan was also recognized as one of the best ethnically diverse liberal arts colleges in the Midwest.

According to College Choice, the ranking is based on institutional excellence, student satisfaction, and return on investment—a measurement of total cost against expected early career income. The data from their ranking comes from the Kansas Board of Regents, the Kansas State Department of Education the National Center for Education Statistics’ IPEDS database, U.S. News & World Report, Payscale, and individual college websites.
College Choice noted the value that partnerships bring to the educational experience at Kansas Wesleyan. The university offers the only Emergency Management bachelor’s degree in Kansas. KWU offers a 3+3 ministry degree program with Saint Paul School of Ministry and the 3+2 in Engineering degree with Washington University in Saint Louis, MO.
